Maintaining Your Granite Surfaces

Although granite is a naturally durable stone, there is still some maintenance required to keep it looking its best for years to come. Wipe down your counters daily with a soft cloth and a neutral cleaner or household detergent. Dry countertops, as leaving excess water standing on the surface could also lead to calcification, which gives the surface a white appearance.

For long-term care, most granite surfaces will require sealing, which will provide water, oil, and grease resistance. Most sealers last 12 – 18 months. GQ Tops offers an option to purchase longer lasting sealer that comes with a 15-year Warranty!
